CHIEF EXECUTIVE’S STATEMENT TO STAFF TO COMMEMORATE THE 11TH ANNIVERSARY OF GHANA GRID COMPANY LIMITED - THURSDAY, AUGUST 1, 2019
“Today August 1, 2019 marks the 11th Anniversary of the operationalization of our cherished Company, Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo), and it is my singular honour, on behalf of the Board and Management, to congratulate all as we commemorate the occasion.
On this august occasion, we celebrate the pioneers of the Company for their visionary foundation and good works, whilst we appreciate all staff, both past and present, and our valued stakeholders for their invaluable contributions towards the sustenance and growth of the Company.
From that day in August 2008, we have together worked as a team, and have in the bond of esprit de corps demonstrated good sense of commitment, hard work and fortitude throughout the journey of making GRIDCo the Backbone to Power Delivery in Ghana and the sub-region.
Our perseverance and creativity in seeing opportunities even in the challenging moments, has distinctly helped build GRIDCo into one of the relatively young but the finest utility institution in Africa, earning us various sub-regional and continental awards to the admiration of many.
The Board and Management are proud, and are indeed encouraged by the successes achieved during the past eleven years, which reflects the positive outcomes of the immense skills and dedication, cooperation and support for corporate initiatives exhibited by Team GRIDCo.
The Board and Management recognize and are indeed grateful to all stakeholders, for your respective roles towards the success story of GRIDCo. Our story during these remarkable years would not be complete without all your efforts and contributions.
While we enjoy a quiet celebration this year, let us each spend time to reflect on the experiences of the past, both positive and negative, and what individually and collectively we can bring on board to make our dear Company, GRIDCo greater, bigger and better than ever.
Let us live GRIDCo’s values at all levels in our actions and decisions.
Let us all keep GRIDCo in our prayers.
Long live GRIDCo, long live Ghana."
