ING. BERNARD KWABENA ASANTE GYAN was appointed Director, Technical Services in September, 2022.

He is a professional Engineer with 20 years’ experience in power system operations and maintenance. His career began in Volta River Authority in 2002 during, which he worked with the Transmission Systems Department as an Assistant Control Engineer; Assistant Engineer; a Protection and Control Engineer and a Senior Protection and Control Engineer, up until 2012. From 2013, Bernard became an Ag. Area Manager, for the Techiman, Akosombo and Kumasi Operational Areas of GRIDCo. Later he became Manager, Network Maintenance, Northern Network Department from 2018-2022, before assuming the role as the Manager, Executive Office in March, 2022.

Bernard holds a Masters in Public Administration from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), 2018, a Commonwealth Executive Master of Business Administration degree (2011-2012) and a BSc. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (1998-2002) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology (KNUST).

Gyan is a member of the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE).
