Mr. Samuel Kow Acquah was appointed Acting Director of the Corporate Strategy Department in April 2025, in addition to his substantive role as the Manager responsible for Strategy, Risk, and Compliance. In this capacity, he leads the development, execution and monitoring of strategic initiatives aimed at driving GRIDCo’s long-term growth and organisational objectives.

He has previously held several key positions at GRIDCo, including Manager for Financial Planning and Analysis and Acting Manager for Business Development and Strategy within GRIDCo’s Telecom Business Unit.

Prior to joining GRIDCo in 2009, he worked in the IT-enabled Services (ITeS) and Business Advisory sectors.

Mr. Acquah obtained a Certificate in Corporate Finance and Strategy from the London School of Economics. He holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Cape Coast.

Sam is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK) and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG).
