Ing. Abdul Samed Ibrahim was reassigned to oversee the day-to-day administration of the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) in April 2025.

He is an accomplished electrical engineer with over two decades of experience in power system development.

Ing. Ibrahim’s engineering career spans various roles at GRIDCo, the Volta River Authority (VRA), and the Energy Commission (EC), during which he significantly contributed to the development and execution of large-scale transmission infrastructure projects. The various positions he held in these organisations included, Project Manager (Technical Expert); Manager, Design and Standards and Manager, Construction Management.

Ing. Abdul Samed Ibrahim holds a Diploma and BSc. Electrical/Electronic Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and MSc. Engineering Project Management from the University of Leeds, UK.

Samed is a member of the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE).
