Mr. Samuel Kow Acquah was appointed Director of the Corporate Strategy Department on February 2, 2026. In this capacity, he leads the development, execution and monitoring of strategic initiatives aimed at driving GRIDCo’s long-term growth and organisational objectives.

Before this appointment, he served as the Manager responsible for Strategy, Risk, and Compliance. Other key positions held at GRIDCo, include, Manager for Financial Planning and Analysis and Acting Manager for Business Development and Strategy at the then Telecom Business Unit of GRIDCo.

Prior to joining GRIDCo in 2009, he worked in the IT-enabled Services (ITeS) and Business Advisory sectors.

Mr. Acquah obtained a Certificate in Corporate Finance and Strategy from the London School of Economics. He holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA) and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Cape Coast.

Sam is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK) and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana (ICAG).
