Ing. Ms. Nicholina Noél Nkang-Ma Yembilah is a Civil Engineer, who assumed the role of Director, Procurement in May, 2026.

Ing. Yembilah joined GRIDCo from the Volta River Authority (VRA), and has so far gathered 27 years’ work experience, with extensive experience in project management, procurement management and contract administration. She started her career at the VRA’s Takoradi Thermal Power Project Office and then worked in the Design Section of the Engineering Department of VRA. Ing. Yembilah served as Office Engineer and later Manager, Procurement and Contracts Administration with the erstwhile 330kV WAPP Projects Department. She also served as Manager for the erstwhile Engineering Procurement Section; then Lands and Environment Management Section of the Engineering Department and Manager, Materials of the Procurement Department of GRIDCo. She also served as Director Procurement from September 2022, until March 2024, when she was reassigned to the role of Project Director, Project Implementation Unit (PIU). In April 2025, she was reassigned Director, Engineering until her reassignment in May 2026.

She holds a Master’s in Public Administration from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). Ing. Yembilah also attended the Kharkov State Technical University of Construction and Architecture, Ukraine, specialising in Industrial and Civil Construction (MSc. Civil Engineering, majoring in Structural Engineering).

She speaks Twi, English and Russian, and has working language of several Mole-Dagbani languages, Ewe, and Ga.

Ing. Nicholina Yembilah is a member of the Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE); the Women Leaders in Energy (WLE), as well as Women in Engineering (WinE), Ghana.
