Ing. Mark Baah, with over twenty-eight years in the power sector of Ghana, has a wealth of experience in power system planning, electricity market development, system dispatch operations, infrastructure management and corporate management.

Ing. Baah was appointed Director, Corporate Strategy and Advisor to the Chief Executive on the implementation of the Ghana Wholesale Electricity Market in March 2024. Before this appointment, Ing. Baah served as Director of Southern Network Services at Ghana Grid Company Limited from 2022. He provided leadership in the management of power transmission assets maintenance, improvement and optimization of programme activities for the reliable operation of the National Interconnected System of Ghana. Ing. Baah was also previously Director, System Operations between 2017 and 2022 and was responsible for power system dispatch operations and power market operationalization.

During the creation and operationalisation of GRIDCo in 2008, Mr. Baah was the Special Assistant to the first Chief Executive of GRIDCo and he was instrumental in the successful transition process.

Mark holds an MSc. degree in Electromechanical Engineering from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute, Russia and an MBA from Leeds University Business School, UK. He is a member of Ghana Institution of Engineers (GhIE).
