Jonathan Amoako-Baah

CHIEF EXECUTIVE/MEMBER

JONATHAN AMOAKO-BAAH was appointed Chief Executive of Ghana Grid Company Limited in 2017 with a mandate to provide leadership and governance in power transmission in Ghana and to countries in the sub-region. He has worked in several capacities in the power sector value chain across West Africa. He was previously at the Volta River Authority (VRA) as Director of Technical Services with oversight responsibilities for the VRA schools. He started as a Design Engineer on the Northern Electrification and System Reinforcement Project (NESRP), the Lower Volta Electrification Project and the National Electrification Projects. Jonathan is a fellow of Ghana Institution of Engineering (GhIE), a member of the Executive Board of WAPP and a member of the Board of the Ghana Nuclear Power Institute. He holds degrees in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and an MBA in Finance from University of Ghana Business School (UGBS).

He also has a Certificate in Investment Appraisal and Risk Management from Queens University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.
