The 2025/2026 National Service Personnel (NSP) batch has begun renovation works on the library at the Mampong School for the Deaf, with the aim of creating a safer and more accessible space for students to read, research and learn.

Progress of Work

Work is progressing steadily, with several preparatory activities already completed. These include the: Removal of old windows and weak pillars; Demolition of deteriorated floor sections marked for replacement and Removal of damaged electrical sockets and worn-out fascia boards.

The next phase will involve removing the ceiling and roofing sheets to make way for major structural improvements.

Materials Procured

Materials already delivered to the site include: One (1) trip of sand; One (1) trip of gravels and bags of cement.

The work so far marks the beginning of a transformation that will give students a safer and more functional library and a better environment for learning.

The NSP batch looks forward to sharing further updates as the renovation progresses.
