As part of efforts to strengthen environmental sustainability practices within the Company, GRIDCo is set to commence the implementation of a Green Office Initiative focused on waste segregation and responsible waste disposal at the workplace.
The initiative seeks to promote environmentally responsible workplace practices while enhancing awareness on sustainability among staff.
Under the initiative, designated waste segregation green stations will be installed across the Head Office to encourage staff to separate waste into different categories including plastics, paper, and general waste.
The project forms part of GRIDCo’s broader commitment toward Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles and aligns with global sustainability efforts aimed at reducing pollution, promoting recycling, and encouraging responsible resource management.
Staff have been encouraged to actively support the initiative by properly using the designated bins and helping to maintain clean and environmentally-friendly office spaces, and also contribute toward building a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable GRIDCo.
The Green Office Initiative is expected to serve as a pilot project for wider implementation across GRIDCo’s operational areas in future.
