Management paid a working visit to Genser Energy to familiarise themselves with the Company’s operations and ongoing projects. During the visit, the team toured the Prestea Gas Conditioning Plant (GCP), where Genser Energy is constructing a mid-stream facility designed to process up to 135 million standard cubic feet of natural gas per day (mmscf/d).

The visit began with a comprehensive health and safety induction outlining site standards and protocols. This was followed by a guided walk-through of the gas conditioning process, during which officials explained how raw gas is treated and separated into marketable components. The team also received a project update, highlighting key construction milestones and upcoming commissioning activities.

Genser Energy explained that gas processed at the plant will be conditioned and separated into methane, ethane, propane, butane and isopentane before being delivered for downstream use, such as power generation and industrial applications. The plant is nearing completion of its engineering installation phase, with the cryogenic storage tanks already in place. This marks a significant milestone, reflecting steady progress in strengthening midstream capability.

Management engaged Genser officials in discussions during the tour to gain further clarity on operational processes and project timelines. On behalf of GRIDCo, the Chief Executive, Ing. Mark Baah, expressed appreciation for the engagement and congratulated Genser Energy on the progress achieved, noting that GRIDCo looks forward to future collaborations.

Genser Energy’s delegation was led by Senior Personnel, including Benedicta Batomma Yaro, Health & Safety Superintendent (Ag.), who guided the team through the safety induction and outlined the Company’s safety culture and site protocols. Richlove Andoh, Operations Engineer, provided detailed insight into the plant’s operations and explained the technical processes involved in gas conditioning, while Francois Esterhuizen, Plant Manager, presented an overview of the project’s progress, highlighting key construction milestones, and the status of works.
