During the 2nd Quarter Meeting of Safety Coordinators, Safety Manager, Ing. Eric Frimpong Koduah commended the team’s support and recognised the early submission of Safety Monitoring Reports as a noteworthy achievement. The Safety Manager encouraged Safety Coordinators to explore innovative methods for assessing staff’s comprehension and application of knowledge beyond the mere attendance of Safety Meetings.
Other important matters addressed during the meeting included personal protective equipment (PPEs); the revised Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) form; GRIDCo’s Contractors’ Manual; standardised signages, and the upcoming 2023 Safety Week celebrations. The Safety Manager expressed optimism about substantial improvements in Health and Safety, highlighting the collaborative efforts of the Safety Management Team and the Safety Coordinators.
Mr. Solomon Okine, a Safety Coordinator, expressed gratitude for the ongoing support, emphasizing the value of the recently held Phase II Occupational Safety and Health Academy (OSHA) Certification programme in enhancing the performance of Safety Coordinators. The meeting concluded with a positive outlook for future progress in health and safety within the Company.
