GRIDCo recently hosted a team from the Internal Audit Agency (IAA) as part of its engagements aimed at encouraging compliance with regulatory requirements. The meeting coincided with the May celebrations of ‘Internal Audit Awareness Month.’
The IAA delegation was led by Mr. Fusseini Alhassan a Deputy Director who expressed satisfaction at GRIDCo’s performance in the area of audit. In 2021 and 2022, GRIDCo was adjudged “Best Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Compliant Institution” award and recently, the GRIDCo CEO, Ing. Ebenezer Kofi Essienyi and Director Audit, Mr. Richard Ntim were recognised for upholding good audit practices.
Making brief remarks, the CE, Ing. Essienyi welcomed Mr. Alhassan and his team, expressing appreciation for the visit. He assured them of GRIDCo’s assistance through the Director of Audit, Mr. Ntim.
On behalf of the Director General of the IAA, Mr. Alhassan expressed gratitude for GRIDCo’s consistent support for its annual conference. He was optimistic of a a “Strong GRIDCo representation at the next conference, scheduled for August 2024,
Present at the meeting were the Board Secretary, Mrs. Ama Haywood Dadzie, some Management Staff including, Ing. Mark Baah, Director of Corporate Strategy; Ing. Vincent Boachie, Director of Procurement; Ing. Hussaini Adams, Director of SND, while Mr. Richard Ntim led members of the Audit Team.
